East Cobb Parade

Batteries Not Included took their outreach robot, called the CandyPult, to the annual East Cobb parade. The CandyPult was designed to be driven around and launch candy to little kids; all of the kids loved learning and interacting with it.

Pre-School Festival

Batteries Not Included took the Candy-Pult robot to the Mt Bethel UMC Pre-School Festival. Like all good engineers, we continued to improve the design. For example, one of our major improvements was the change from the plastic Red Solo Cup to a 3D Printed Orange Solo Cup. All the preschoolers loved learning and interacting with the Outreach robot. Even the Cow from Chick-Fil-A had to get in on the candy action.

Christmas Robot

Before Christmas break, we wanted to share the spirit of Christmas, as well as the spirit of FIRST.  Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Christmas Robot All the Way!  Our Christmas robot was decked out with lights, played Christmas music, and talked using an Amazon Alexa Skill to share fun facts about robotics and Mt. Bethel Christian Academy.  We visited all the Lower School and Middle School classrooms as well as greeted parents during the holiday parties.
